My mumma always tells me when I complain about dumb teenage girly shit that "these are the tough years" and I'm not sure why but it always makes me feel better every time. I think it's something to do with parents admitting that the stuff you're going through is equal and sometimes even worse than money issues and other adult problems. So don't feel like being upset over a boy, or being angry at a girlfriend for something petty or being insecure or self conscious isn't serious enough to care about. Care and cry and scream and laugh and smile and feel every extreme emotion you want because that's what being young is about!
