10pm ramble hour

I have this theory that if I ever expect or think of something then it will never, ever happen. Every good and bad thing in life will always come as a surprise when you least expect it. It's not an original theory of course but I think I actually really believe it. You're only really living when something really good or something really bad happens so therefore you only really live in the moment when you have zero expectations and are taken completely by surprise. Unfortunately there always seems to be more surprise shit moments than surprise great moments. I don't have a theory as to why that is yet, but I'll keep you updated. I hope you all had a great Australia Day, Invasion Day whatever you want to call it. For me it was just a good excuse to lay around in a pool rather than sitting in an under air conditioned assembly hall to discuss our academic expectations for the year ahead. Night night.
