Pretty photos of pretty things

sometimes i wish that time flew

Because if the next term flew then I'd have time to do stuff like this..

Go to the beach

Sit around a fire and talk shit with friends

Go walking

Swing

Make flower flats

Dance in the snow in boxer shorts

and play my new game from mitch, read all my books, catch up on my tv series's, make home made lip balm, cook, write a short novel, get pink streaks, everything and anything

the greatest

This afternoon I watched the film "The Greatest" which starred a few of my favourite actors- Carey Mulligan, Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon. It was one of those movies you watch and all of a sudden your brain clicks on and you want to write and cry and kiss someone and punch someone all at the same time (picture me writing, crying, kissing and punching someone at the same time and have a laugh.. i know i did) The acting is amazing, the cinematography and the set is beautiful and the message is so powerful. Please rent it out! You won't regret it.

filling in time before my teacher marks my english draft

I am currently lazing in English "using my time productively" whilst waiting for my teacher to come mark my half decent assignment and.. hopefully cross out enough of it to make it under the word limit. I can never, ever, no matter how boring the topic write an assignment under the word limit or on the word limit. I must always ramble and rant until I'm hundreds of words over and try to hide this by putting a narrow margin and small text size. It doesn't work.

In other news, the rain seems to finally be settling down! You see, I love rainy, dark, misty days but even I have been tested this week with the constant wind and rain. It made my satchel disgusting and I hate having a dirty satchel..

This week has also been fairly dramatic and crazy which is in sync with the weather! My good friend was talking to me earlier in the week about how vodka was his friend but then he stabbed him in the back and he supposes they'll be friends again in the future. It reminded me of girls. Vodka and girls ain't so different.. like vodka- a girl will seem to be really kind but then stab you in the back causing you to fight and hate but then a few weeks/months/years whatever later you'll probably be friends again. Girls are toxic. Vodka is toxic?

Now that the weather has settled down maybe this drama will as well. I hope everyone is enjoyed the brief brake of rain and "using their time productively" in classes ;)

and finally

I think it is sufficent to say that we succesfully "rocked all day and all of the night"
Sweet dreams! (Thank you to The Boat that Rocked for endless inspiration!)

on yet another similar note..

These are two beautiful birthday sketches I received from my best friend miss Holly! Unfortunately I cannot link you to a blog where you can view more of her sketches although you can facebook stalk her and find them on there ;) love you holls!

on a similar note..

I was extremely lucky to receive two hand-made clothing items from two fashionista (yeah i used the word) that both happen to have incredibly cool and interesting blogs! Win win situation basically. Thanks a million to Emily McGuire and Charlie Shires (click links now to view mentioned blogs)! Emily is an unbelievably talented Designer whom I have linked and mentioned many times before on this blog. If you have no already checked out her hand-made garments, do yourself a favour and do so, as I'm telling you one day she will be famous! (apology for sounding like an old proud g-ma)

Charlie on the other hand is not only talented with a sewing machine but also with her writing. Her blog is fun-filled with all sorts of random rants, stories, various fashion chit-chats, photos and other curiousities. We are infact adopted sisters- as we both blog, both enjoy to party and both like to sing along and pimp dance to bad rap music.. And now thanks to my bday pressie we both have the same dress in different colours! So we can go hang out like the olysen twins before they got old and indie, in matching outfits! WEOW. oh and while we're at it.. you should also check out Charlies boyfie J-cub who is a wicked good photographer/blog ranter/general storyteller. Thanks j-cub for catching the smiles from the night with your skills and great approachable party manner!

party party party

Just warning you now, this post is going to be extremely long so if you're not in the mood to read a really long blog post.. just stop now! Today is the 10th of the 10th of the 10th, which also awesomeingly (is that a word?) happens to be my birthday! Sweet sixteen and never been kissed.. heh- that's what my grandma told me on the phone this morning. It followed with an awkward pause for a good few seconds before she thankfully swapped topics to teenage drinking. I don't think I could've possibly asked for a better birthday weekend than the one I received. Although the weather was absoutely crazy and wet; it actually suited me anyway since I am fairly crazy and I love the rain?

Last night I celebrated my birthday in the only suitable way to truly celebrate when you're underage.. I had a giant 60s themed party with enough cheap wine and alcopops to fill a large section of Dads ute cleaning up this morning. It was one of those nights when just know you'll remember it for a long time. And not just the night you'll remember. But you will remember that shiver you get when you have over 100 people singing you happy birthday (even if it was extremely off pitch), or that gut laughter you have when you are standing to the side watching your close guy friends booty pumping to milkshakes, or when you are standing on a stage with your best friend singing Elanor by The Turtles with all your closest friends swaying and singing along at your feet. Or lastly that "holy fuck, this is when the party goes wrong" feeling when Seb punches a light bulb out effectively cutting the power to the whole venue (thanks sebra!) Mush all those emotions together and it gives you a pretty clear image of the night. Thank you to my lovely parents who did basically everything to make the night happen, to my brother for being the mind behind all technology from the night, to clare for making hundreds of extremely delicious cupcakes, to holly for hanging records on the ceilings with me for a good 2 hours straight, and to everyone else that came and partied with me as the party isn't a party without party goers.. yeah ?

Lastly- THANK YOU to all the beautiful pressies I received from my friends at the party and today. I love them all so much and I love all of you! (SO MUCH LOVE AND SO MANY EXCLAMATION MARKS!)

happy birthday big bro

This week has been hectic as and it's only getting more and more hectic as the weekend nears. But, in saying that I was just about to drift off to sleep just then when I felt obliged to log on and do a post- in particular a shout out to say happy birthday to my big brother jack who turned 18 today! To celebrate it we went out to Montezumas and ate until we felt sick but of course managed to squeeze some magic oven birthday cake in as well. Sufficent to say I think we all put on a few kilos tonight. My brother is the greatest, most selfless and down to earth person I know and no one deserves a good birthday more than him!

On a different note.. my birthday is also coming up in a few days (i prefer not to ponder why me and my brother were conceived 5 days apart with a 2 year gap in between) Hence why I'm too busy to update this blog at the moment! But when this weekend passes I will promise to dedicate a few days to blogging per week as a present to myself and hopefully- to whoever enjoys reading this stuff.

I hope everyone that has gone back to uni and school this week aren't feeling too stressed just yet and if you are.. well I hope you party hard this weekend to forget about it! I know I will be ;)

Nightie night.

post-rut

I am suffering from severe bloggers block. I think of things I want to write about when I'm outside of home but when it comes to typing it up I kinda forget/don't care enough to write about it any more. I could just do post after post of relatively interesting photos that may or may not be relevant to you but I try limit those. I want to actually write. To write about things that someone may read and actually impact them. Hence forth I kinda think of this blog like one big book. A book with endless mini chapters of ramblings, outbursts, sometimes insight but mostly just depressing thoughts of quotes and books. Therefore I have justified myself in why I'm in my post-rut.. it is simply- like writers block, giving my mind the time to think up some actually half decent shit! Or I suppose it could be due to the virus I have on my computer right now forcing me to use my mum's laptop. Screw you TVSHACK!
